  • The album was recorded at the Regal Theater in Chicago on November 21, 1964. In a perfect way it announces the outstanding talents of B.B. King as a singer, guitarist and entertainer. The "Rolling Stone" placed it on position 141 of the most important albums of all time.

    "Live at the Regal" includes "Every Day I Have the Blues" and "Sweet Little Angel," among other songs King would play over and over again until his death in 2015, and his guitar sound, the lyrical phrasing with its signature off-the-cuff vibrato, would not change since 1965
